New Victorian stallion farm Lovatsville have formed a strategic partnership with the Australian Trainer&rsquo;s Association (ATA) designed to support trainer&rsquo;s through a series of stallion nominations aligned to upcoming races in regional Victoria this Spring.
Lovatsville will be providing two (2) nominations to each of the stallions on their 2024 roster for the winning trainers of select fillies and mares races over the coming months. To be eligible to receive the stallion nomination the winning trainer of the select races (or next best placegetter) is required to be a current member of the ATA. The trainer can either choose to use that nomination on a mare that they own themselves, or monetise within their client base.
Lovatsville founder Sam White is excited by the initiative and the opportunity to partner with the ATA "It's a robust time in business for everyone, both inside and out of the racing industry. Trainer&rsquo;s continue to be at the coal face of absorbing expenses in caring for their horses and their staff and are often the last to get paid.&rdquo;
White, who has a background in racing having spent the past 5 years with Ciaron Maher, understands the need for the breeding industry and racing sector to support each other&nbsp; &ldquo;We just want the trainers to know that we stand alongside them. We see this contribution as another way of doing circular business.&rdquo;
Stephen Bell, CEO of the ATA, is thrilled with the announcement &ldquo;It&rsquo;s fantastic that our members and their businesses will have a chance to compete for a &ldquo;bonus&rdquo; through these nominations, on top of the already fantastic prize money available in Victoria. He hasn&rsquo;t won yet, but he&rsquo;s been metro-placed and has over $80,000 in prizemoney. &ldquo;Royal Meeting has had more humble opportunities compared to some other high-profile stallions, but he&rsquo;s capitalised on them. He's upgrading his mares, and that&rsquo;s all there is to it. Lovatsville are delighted to have secured freshman Snitzel speedster, Generation, to stand at stud this season, providing Victorian breeders with an opportunity to breed to that colonial speed option so often presented in the Hunter Valley.&nbsp;
Generation&rsquo;s journey to stud was made a long time ago. His dam, Fontiton, was a pre-Christmas stakes winning 2 year-old and the &ldquo;talk&rdquo; horse leading into the Blue Diamond series, where she duly captured both the Fillies Preview and Prelude. While the Diamond wasn&rsquo;t to be, her obvious speed, her good looks and the potential upside was well found when she was bought for $1,100,000 by SF Bloodstock at the 2016 Magic Millions.&nbsp;
Fontiton&rsquo;s second of only two foals, the first being the ill-fated but black-type performed Pinkham, was Generation. A $575,000 Magic Millions purchase for Ciaron Maher &amp; Dermott Farrington on behalf of their respective clients, Colin McKenna and his syndicate and Canning Downs, Generation pleased Maher from day one. "It's one thing for them to look the part, but they&rsquo;ve got to be able to handle the whole process and the transition into stable life to ensure that they can do it on the track.&rdquo; Maher&rsquo;s assessment of Generation against that theory? &ldquo;He was completely bomb-proof from day one.&rdquo;
An undefeated city winning 2 year-old, dual Group 3 winning 3 year-old sprinter who was also Group 1 fourth in both the Moir and the William Reid. Generation&rsquo;s on track deeds certainly matched physique, outstanding looks and precocious pedigree, all of which were key factors in Lovatsville securing him.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We loved the fact that he was by Snitzel. A 4-time Champion stallion and sales ring goliath, who is now emerging as a sire-of-sires. In our minds he&rsquo;s got the pedigree, he&rsquo;s got the performance and he certainly has the looks and the physique. It mirror the profile of the Vinnie&rsquo;s and Tassort&rsquo;s in their formative years at stud. He is certainly worth a punt&rdquo; says Sam White, Lovatsville founder.&nbsp;
&ldquo;He&rsquo;s not a big horse but he has immense quality, great strength and a beautiful bit of sprinting scope to him. Physically I think breeders will enjoy mating to him, in that we will be able to add quality to some mares and tighten up some bigger, rangier styles that would genetically complement him too.&rdquo;
Generation will stand the 2024 breeding season at a fee of $11,000 (incl. GST) with extremely attractive breeding right packages available in him, providing great opportunity for broodmare farms and agents to utilise a pool of nominations for their clients.

The Inglis Premier sale proved again this sales season that leading trainers love Fierce Impact's progeny. On completion of the Premier Sale, Fierce Impact had five yearlings go through the ring in Book 1 at an average of $132,500 - nearly 10x his service fee - with <a href="https://inglis.com.au/sale/2024-premier-yearling-sale?tab=catalogue&amp;selected_lot=22" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a top price of $310,000 for Lot 22 ex Tinga.</a> Three more yearlings were offered in the Showcase session with two sold for an aggregate of $82,500 and an average of $41,250 - another healthy return on investment for breeders that supported the stallion. Overall across both books of the sale, eight Fierce Impact yearlings were offered and six sold at an average of $102,000! Trainers that have supported Fierce Impact so far include Ciaron Maher, Lindsay Park, Michael Freedman, Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, Nick Ryan, Andrew Noblet and Donna Logan; with his first crop in such good hands Fierce Impact's first crop will have every chance to make a big noise on the race track.

The entire team watched on excitedly on Saturday as 2yo filly Hayasugi became the first Group 1 winner for our young stallion Royal Meeting when she claimed the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield.
Not only was the win a historic one for Royal Meeting, himself a Group 1 winning 2yo, it was a rare moment in time for Hayasugi as she became just the second filly in history to complete a "clean sweep" of the Blue Diamond series, winning the Preview, Prelude and then the Blue Diamond itself.
A huge congratulations to trainer Clinton McDonald for an expertly planned preparation, to jockey Jamie Kah for a masterful ride and her 10th Group 1 win, to breeder Mike O'Donnell for identifying Royal Meeting as a first season stallion, and to the filly's happy owners - what an achievement to celebrate!
Royal Meeting has stood the last three seasons under the care and management of Leneva Park where he has seen strong and consistent books of mares, but a constant from his very first season at stud has been Brian Byrnes. Brian has believed in Royal Meeting since day one and I know he celebrated the stallion's first Group 1 with pride on Saturday.

The 2024 breeding season heralds the arrival of a new industry player with bespoke stallion station Lovatsville set to join the Victorian breeding scene
Lovatsville is the result of a partnership among several key industry stakeholders, including Leneva Park, Seymour Bloodstock. Lovatsville will focus on stallion management, with a commitment to innovative marketing strategies and excellent client relations.
Heading the Lovatsville venture is Victorian native, Sam White, a respected industry figure with over ten years of combined experience at Coolmore and Ciaron Maher Racing. The stallion station will operate from Seymour at the Northwood Road facility previously run by Leneva Park at the well-known Seymour Park property.&nbsp;
White highlights the unique advantage that the Lovatsville team brings to the Australasian market with its diverse experience in both racing and breeding, setting the stage for a holistic service offering to clients.
"Our partnership's background in both breeding and racing gives us a unique perspective on what the industry needs right now. Through Leneva Park&rsquo;s support, Lovatsville has acquired the standing rights for 3-time Group 1 winning Champion Miler Fierce Impact, who in his first 3 seasons at stud has covered over 400 mares. Fierce Impact&rsquo;s first crop yearlings have already entered the yards of Ciaron Maher, Team Hayes, Simon Miller, Mike Moroney, Mick Price &amp; Michael Kent Jnr, Tony &amp; Calvin McEvoy along with Smith himself who has supported the stallion extensively at stud. Fierce Impact stands his fourth season at stud for a slightly reduced fee of $13,750 (incl. GST)
Joining Fierce Impact in 2024 will be the freshman Snitzel speedster, Generation who will stand at an introductory fee of $11,000 (incl.
